Our Adult Social Care department have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practitioner to join the Therapies & Assistive Technology team where you will be expected to work with others to influence and shape the local environment, to promote social inclusion and accessibility and ensure that identified needs are understood individually, by locality and fed into strategic commissioning.
In this vital role, you will support the operational manager to manage the Therapies & Assistive Technology team and contribute to the effective leadership, quality assurance, risk management and safeguarding matters, supporting the senior management team in delivering good quality services and effective integration between health and social care through collaboration with stakeholders and partners across the system.
Your role will be divided into two main areas; supporting management of the Sensory Services Team, and leading on Moving and Handling within the Therapies Department.
You will also be required to cover for your line manager on occasion and to also to cover for Advanced Practitioners from other teams if required to do so for a temporary period.
This is a public facing role so you will need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.

Our ideal candidate will be an innovative high achiever who has the ability to demonstrate a high level of competence in Social Work practice, and can communicate effectively across a diverse customer base.
You will have the opportunity to develop on your already existing in depth knowledge and understanding of Social Care legislation and regulations. This would include personalisation, eligibility criteria, rehabilitation and reablement, Safeguarding and MCA, DOLS, Multi-disciplinary complex case work, CQC Care Standards and Telecare.
We do ask that you have a degree or equivalent Social Work qualification, registered with professional body and demonstrable commitment to professional development.
