 We have an exciting opportunity within the Transformation and Technology Team, where you will lead on the development and maintenance of a select range of business applications. You will also ensure that the system is available, maintained, and utilised to its full potential.

You’ll provide system owner responsibilities, leading on the governance of applications and system access, giving final approval for system changes, co-ordinating projects and upgrades, and progressing developments.

With good knowledge & efficiency you’ll organise and lead activities to identify solutions that are suited to current and future needs; and as part of that process, produce detailed technical analysis based on service requirements, translating requirements into specifications and deliverables; managing requests for change to requirements or specifications; clarifying and validating ambiguous requirements to support the development of detailed specifications with services, partners and third party suppliers.


About you

You’ll confidently consult, negotiate, persuade and influence other people from all levels inside and outside the council establishing productive relationships. You will also need to have the ability to lead and manage multiple works streams in a cross departmental systems support team to meet constant and often conflicting work demands.

Able to take a strategic perspective whilst keeping overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected by unnecessary matters of detail.

We do ask that you have good knowledge using business applications, understanding the technical specifications and dependencies with linked applications. You must hold a Prince II qualification or relevant work experience.
