You will be an experienced senior social worker ready to step up to the next level in your career, or you are an experienced leader that is looking to round up your knowledge and expertise. You will have strong communications skills, you’ll be able to build effective relationships with children and families, staff, public and other professionals and able to negotiate resources as required.
You should have in-depth knowledge of legislation national guidance and best practice relevant to the post including statutory responsibilities relating to Children and Family Services, including appropriate performance indicators and quality standards and you’ll be able to assist in managing, motivating and developing a team that achieve high levels of performance.
We do ask that you have Dip SW, CQSW or recognised equivalent, substantial professional social work qualification and registered by the Social Work England.
Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. Therefore, it is essential in making your application you disclose whether you have any pending charges, convictions, bind-overs or cautions and, if so, for which offences. This post will be exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) (Amendments) Order 1986.
