Luton is currently on a journey of improvement and we’re looking for a Deputy Team Managers to join us at this important juncture. This will focus on achieving good outcomes for children and young people by delivering high quality children’s social services across the borough.

Salary: £39,880 - £42,821 a year plus £3,203 car benefit allowance and £5,000 market supplement

You will work closely with the Team Manager to manage and direct the team, resources and budgets in order to assess the needs and provide services to support children, young people, families and carers where a child is vulnerable, in need, disabled, at risk of harm or becoming looked after.
You’ll work closely with the Team Manager, managing and directing social care intensive support to provide support to children, young people, families and carers where there is a risk or need.
Enabling children and young people to remain safely in their homes wherever possible, and ensure they achieve good outcomes through effective social work intervention.
Where this is not possible to ensure that the children and young people are safeguarded via statutory routes including Care Proceedings and alternative permanent care.
We do ask that you have Dip SW, CQSW or recognised equivalent, substantial professional social work qualification and registered by the Social Work England.
