Salary: £28,785 - £31,371 a year, plus £625.98 Tool Allowance, £78 Washing Allowance and £963 essential car user allowance a year

Our BTS department are looking for someone who will be able to complete a range of electrical work and associated multi-trade repairs including related site surveys and providing lists of materials to complete repairs and refurbishment projects within contract conditions, timescales and costs.

In this role your main responsibilities will include ensuring that all work is completed by appointment, and via the use of job ticket or handheld technology, carry out electrical repairs and multi-trade refurbishment project work, across various sectors including domestic property, high rise schools, shops, industrial units etc. You will also carry appropriate materials as impress van stock, ensure outgoing stock is recorded, and logged on handheld technology.

About you

This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.

We are looking for someone who has a range of electrical and related skills. This experience could have been gained in an educational context.

Our ideal candidate will need to be able to plan and prioritise workloads to meet specified outputs and deadlines. You’ll need to be able to use your own initiative and also work as a team to assess and address problems arising on site.

You’ll need to be polite and tactful with a range of people including clients, tenants, managers and supervisors.

We do ask that you have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in relation to building works. You will also need an advanced electrical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or Electrical City and Guilds qualification or equivalent apprenticeship NVQ Level 2, 17th Edition Upgrade (IEE Regulations).
