We have an exciting opportunity to work within our Children’s Centres making positive impacts on the children and their families’ lives. Where you will operate as a practitioner in a multi-disciplinary, integrated team, contributing to the provision of high quality family support including the Healthy Child Programme, early year’s services and community engagement.
In this vital role, you will provide direct support and guidance to families on a one to one or group basis, as part of the Healthy Child Programme working with Midwifery and Health Visiting (including the Flying Start Parenting Programme), in the Children’s Centre, their homes or community locations for the promotion of their health and wellbeing, complying with Children’s Centre policies and procedures.
This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.
Excellent communication skills are vital for this role, as you will be required to work with and communicate effectively, with colleagues and professionals in a multi-agency context.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge and understanding of key policies affecting families and children, including the Children’s Centres Core Purpose, substantial knowledge of Safeguarding requirements and procedures and working. Knowledge of the Early Help Assessment (EHA).
We do ask that you are educated to a relevant childcare qualification to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or equivalent experience and evidence of continuous professional development.
