Our Children Services Department are looking for a new Fostering Panel Chair. This is a rewarding role where you will be working one or sometimes two days per month (part time) to chair Fostering Panels for the service.
This is a great opportunity to join a future facing Council that has top down commitment to foster carers . We are working in a vibrant and dynamic manner with the Luton Foster Carers Association and with an increased drive to place children with our own in house foster carers.
We are looking for someone who can combine their expertise and knowledge in the field of Fostering and willing to embrace the challenge of working in a forward thinking Council that is developing its Fostering Service with an exciting local offer to foster carers.
We do ask that it is essential you have experience in Fostering and chairing experience is highly desirable.
To mention a few, you will be required to chair Panel meetings and ensure all items on agenda are covered and the Panel is following regulation, policy and procedure outlined by Luton Borough Council (LBC), maintain confidentiality and Panel documents and panel discussions.
