Our People department are looking for someone to join their Adult Social Care division where you will be working to promote the independence, inclusion and well-being of all adults with social care needs.

You will be working to aim to do this by enabling people to:
- Have control over their lives
- Live safe, healthy and fulfilled lives
- Have an active role in a stronger and prosperous community
- Access the support they need in order to be as independent as they choose

This role will be to work as a team to promote the independence of adults and older people in need of community care services and their carers by assessing their needs, promoting enablement and reablement. You will also need to be able to provide equipment and support and arrange personal budgets or person centred car services for those with long term needs.

About you

We are looking for someone who has experience in occupational therapy, post qualifying experience in social/health care field and experience of collaborative, partnership and inter-agency working.
Our ideal candidate will need to be a self- motivator and a high achiever who is dynamic and innovative and able to work as part of a team. You will need to be able to promote the benefits of working together as one multi-disciplinary team and one department.
You’ll need to be able to work with complex and challenging cases and be able to make professional judgements. We need someone who is fantastic at communicating and able to maintain high quality records and write clear and concise reports.
You will have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge and understanding of social care legislation and regulation and how to interpret this in a modern context including personalisation, eligibility criteria, OT best practice guidance, safeguarding and MCA DoLS, multi-disciplinary complex case work and CQC care standards.
We do ask that you have a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and hold professional registration.
This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.
