Salary: £39,880 - £42,821 a year plus £3,203 car benefit allowance

We have an exciting opportunity available within our Children Services department to work as part of the Social Work Academy. This academy is a great opportunity to develop and give opportunities to develop your career in social work.

This role is to support career development to ensure the sustained delivery of outstanding services to Luton’s children, young people and families. You will be developing a capable, motivated, pro-active and reflective workforce.

About you

We are looking for qualified social worker with experience working with either children in need, looked after children and children who are subjected to child protection plans including complex legal proceedings or adults and families in needs. This includes those with physical or learning needs.

Our ideal candidate will need experience of advising, coaching and supporting others in a social work setting. You’ll need to be a strong communicator who can manage change to ensure compliance with standards and deadlines are met.

You’ll need good IT skills and able to write reports. You need to be confident in understanding how to write policies, standards and practice guidance.

You will have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge and understanding of practice improvement and knowledge of national guidance and best practice relevant this post.

We do ask that you have a recognised professional social work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent) together with current social work regulator registration.
