What You’ll be doing
Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding adults and driving positive change through partnership working?
We're looking for a CASPA Lead Practitioner to lead complex safeguarding work across multiple agencies, ensuring vulnerable adults receive the right support at the right time. You'll chair multi-agency meetings, oversee complex case management, drive service improvements, and work collaboratively with partners to achieve the best outcomes for people with multiple vulnerabilities.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you'll be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England and have at least two years' post-qualification experience working with adults in complex social work settings. You'll bring a strong understanding of key legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983 and Human Rights Act 1998, alongside experience of safeguarding and multi-agency working.
You'll be confident leading and influencing others, whether through mentoring, coaching, practice education or chairing multi-agency meetings. Strong communication, report writing and organisational skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with a wide range of partners while managing complex casework and driving positive outcomes.
We're looking for someone who is committed to continuous professional development, with specialist training in areas such as Trauma Informed Care, Psychological Informed Environments (PIE), Motivational Interviewing, Coaching or Reflective Listening being highly desirable. You'll also have a minimum Level 2 qualification in English, Maths and ICT, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
If you're proactive, relationship-focused and committed to improving outcomes for adults at risk, we'd love to hear from you.

Application Process
Because of the nature of this job, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare all unspent cautions and convictions; and also any adult cautions (simple or conditional), and spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020). A person’s criminal record will not in itself prevent a person from being appointed to this post. Applicants will not be refused posts because of offences which are not relevant to, and do not place them at or make them a risk in, the role for which they are applying. However in the event of the employment being taken up, any failure to disclose such offence, as detailed above, will result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Authority.
Applicants for this public-facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse, and provide effective help or advice, fluently in spoken English
On occasions, we may close a vacancy early due to a very high number of applications being received.
