Salary: £50,269 - £53,460 a year pro rata plus £3,203 Car Cash Allowance
Hours: 37 hours a week
Contract type: Secondment for 2 years
This role is available for 2 years. Internal candidates who are permanent employees of Luton Council will be appointed on a secondment basis, while external candidates and other eligible applicants will be appointed on a fixed-term contract for 2 years.

What You’ll be doing
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our team and help improve outcomes across Bedfordshire. You’ll work with partners across local government, health, policing and the voluntary sector to lead and support complex programmes, projects and service improvements.
You’ll use data, evidence and insight to carry out service reviews and health needs assessments, develop strategies and plans, and monitor performance. You’ll also build strong relationships with partners, elected members and service users, using your communication and influencing skills to bring people together and deliver positive change.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have experience of working across organisational boundaries and managing complex multi-agency projects or programmes. You’ll be confident analysing data, producing clear reports and using tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
You’ll be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate and develop positive relationships while holding partners to account. You’ll be organised, adaptable and able to respond confidently to changing priorities, policies and stakeholder needs.
You’ll have a good understanding of equality issues, prevention and the needs of vulnerable communities, together with knowledge of local authority and/or police policies and procedures. Knowledge of substance misuse, violence and harm would be an advantage.
