What You’ll be doing
You will carry out desktop investigations into a range of enforcement and regulatory matters, researching information across multiple systems to assess cases and identify those suitable for further enforcement action. You will prepare and manage case files, support prosecutions and legal proceedings, and provide updates to residents, councillors and other stakeholders.
The role also involves supporting operational activities, including deploying and retrieving monitoring equipment such as CCTV, noise monitoring and air quality equipment across the borough. You'll maintain accurate records, manage enquiries, take meeting notes, provide administrative support and assist in the planning and delivery of enforcement operations. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will help ensure effective enforcement outcomes for the community.
What we’re looking for
We're looking for a proactive and organised individual with excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills. You'll be confident managing casework, researching information and maintaining accurate records across multiple systems.
You will have strong communication skills, be able to deal professionally with residents and partners, and have the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. A flexible approach, sound judgement and the confidence to work independently, including some lone-working duties across the borough, are essential.
Most importantly, you'll be motivated by making a positive impact and committed to supporting effective enforcement services that improve the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors.
If you're looking for a varied and rewarding role where your work directly contributes to safer and stronger communities, we'd love to hear from you.
